Tilomai (Fasito’o-uta, Upolo and Falealupo-Tai, Savai’i, Kiwi) was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand and attended Victoria University of Wellington, where she gained a BA with a double major in Theatre and English Literature.
She currently works with Anne-Marie as the Pacific Engagement Lead for the Human Rights Measurement Initiative (HRMI).
HRMI has funding from MFAT to expand its measurement to all the countries and territories of the South Pacific. A major element of this work will be hosting their fourth international co-design workshop. The aim is to host around 40 people from Pacific nations and territories in Auckland to help shape the expansion of HRMI's data collection. Tilomai will co-ordinate this workshop.
Before working at Motu, she was seconded to the Chief Executive's Offices at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu: The Correspondence School as the Pacific Engagement Strategy Consultant. She also works in customer service at Rabobank.
Tilomai has experience in engagement with key internal & external stakeholders and is passionate about integrating that with Pacific Peoples. Tilomai speaks Samoan, English and Te Reo Maori.
