Tom Lambie

Tom Lambie is an organic farmer from Pleasant Point in South Canterbury. His farm is 415ha, with 350ha irrigated with water sourced from farmer-owned Opuha Dam. The Dam provides water for irrigation, industry and city water supply, enhanced river environment flow, and electricity generation.

Tom is the Commissioner at Environment Canterbury and Chancellor at Lincoln University. He is a former National President of Federated Farmers of New Zealand, current Chairman of the Opuha Water Partnership (Opuha Dam). Tom has a B.Agr.Com from Lincoln University and was a Kellogg Rural Leadership Scholar in 1995.
