Eru Pomare

Eru (Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Rongomaiwahine) joined Motu as an intern for the 2015/16 summer period, before returning to Victoria University to complete his Bachelor of Commerce majoring in finance and accounting. In 2016 he also resumed his position at the finance department of Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira, where he was working up until starting at Motu.

At Motu, Eru worked with Arthur Grimes on a project assessing the impacts that different types of investment grants provided by Poutama Trust to Māori businesses have on those businesses, looking in particular at distributions of various financial indicators.

In his spare time, Eru is an active member of the University community. He is an executive member of Ngā Tāura Umanga (Māori Students Commerce Society), an organisation that looks to stimulate the Māori community at Victoria Business School by increasing its engagement with various external stakeholders.
