Nicolas Adams

Nicolas joined Motu in November 2018, after completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Canterbury majoring in mathematics and economics. During his degree, Nicolas was awarded the Sir Frank Holmes Prize and spent a semester abroad at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He is now planning on completing his post-graduate study at the University of Canterbury.

At Motu, Nicolas is currently researching the economic question ‘In New Zealand, is there a social preference for husbands to earn more than their wives after they get married?’ under the guidance of senior fellow Izi Sin. Nicolas is excited to gain a wealth of knowledge through collaborating and learning from the highly talented and experienced RA’s, fellows and senior fellows at Motu.

Nic spends his free time surfing, snowboarding, reading, learning the guitar, learning Spanish and relaxing with family and friends.
