Andrew Coleman has joint positions as a principal analyst at the Treasury, and a lecturer at the Department of Economics at the University of Otago. He was a Senior Fellow at Motu from February 2008 to July 2012, and earlier worked at the University of Michigan, where he taught economic development and international finance.
Andrew’s work at Motu contributed to research programmes on emissions trading and climate change, transport, and housing, and tax and saving. He was a member of the Saving Working Group in 2011-2012. The Motu programmes have much in common with his research interests broadly related to macroeconomics, economic geography, and how storage and transport networks affect the prices of natural resources.
