Motu Research is thrilled to announce Amelia Farrar has been awarded the prestigious Sir Frank Holmes Prize for 2024.
Named after one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading economists, this award is dedicated to encouraging and supporting top quantitative economics students to advance their studies in econometrics at the graduate level. Nominated by their universities, recipients exemplify academic excellence and a commitment to economics.
Amelia is currently completing her Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and Finance at the University of Otago. She plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Economics at Otago University next year.
Her outstanding achievements include:
- University of Otago Economics Department Honour Roll (2022 & 2023)
- Being named as Top Scholar of Studholme College
