Jul 15, 2024

Several of our researchers presented at the 2024 New Zealand Association of Economists (NZAE) conference.

We are very proud of Motu Affiliate and former Research Analyst Livvy Mitchell, who walked away with THREE prizes at the conference’s annual awards.

All three prizes were for her paper "The effect of violent assaults on youth victims and their parents".

Livvy won the:

  • Jan Whitwell Prize, a prize awarded for the best PhD-student presentation
  • Seamus Hogan Research Prize. This prize is awarded for the best public policy paper written by a student
  • Stats NZ Prize, awarded to the paper with the best use of official statistics.

Well done to everyone who participated.
